Counselling

Every individual responds to life differently, shaped by their own unique experiences. I work with adults and young adults to help them better understand their personal situations and challenges.

As an experienced, compassionate, and person-centred therapist, my approach is grounded in empathy and support. My sessions are designed to guide clients toward finding their own solutions to the difficulties they face.

Therapy is focused on the present, empowering clients to build strategies that support better mental health and wellbeing. I take the time to truly get to know each person, creating a safe, non-judgemental space where they feel heard, understood, and valued.

How it Works

Cool Timeline

Initial Assessment

We have an initial call to talk about what you would like to achieve from the counselling. I can answer any questions you have. We can establish if you are comfortable in being open with me and that we can work together in an open and trustworthy relationship.

An Individual Approach

We then decide on the best approach for you. This may be an initial number of sessions or an open-ended basis. We will typically see each other once a week for one hour, usually face-to-face. Sessions by telephone or video calling are also possible and can be equally effective if they are planned in advance.

Sessions cost from £50 per hour..

Regular sessions

Each counselling session is designed to be a relaxed non-judgemental space for you to be able to talk openly to discuss the things that are important to you. You can share as much or as little as you choose, everything we talk about is confidential and will not be shared. As a counsellor, it’s my role to listen and to actively help you get the most out of each session to enable you to feel better and experience positive changes.

Counselling techniques

I use what’s known as an integrative/holistic approach – integrating the affective, behavioural, cognitive, and physiological systems within one person, as well as addressing any social and spiritual aspects. That simply means that I work with each client as a whole person and use a variety of techniques and theories to get the best result.

Goals and outcomes

Our shared goal will be to make sure that you spend as little time ‘in therapy’ as possible, so that you can focus on implementing the changes that will improve your life and start to enjoy life as you move forward. However, if you do need further support then we can always agree follow-up either by telephone or video calling, or through further sessions.

Get in Touch

An initial free 30 minute consultation is always offered prior to the first session. We can then establish the best way forward and how many sessions may be beneficial.

Most people notice improvements in their wellbeing within 3-4 sessions, though there is no commitment to a number/frequency of sessions.
