“Out of your vulnerabilities will come your strength” – Sigmund Freud
Mental health issues can have a profound impact on our thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
We all have mental health, and what affects our daily lives varies between each of us. The important thing to remember is that support is available, and we’re not alone in our journey.
We all go through difficult times in our lives, and it can be a lonely place when we are trying to understand and make sense of our experiences.
Sometimes we can talk to family, friends or work colleagues, but they are often too close to provide the best outcomes.
I can change that.
I provide a range of mental health and wellbeing services for adults and young people across the South East and nationwide.
This includes one-to-one counselling for individuals aged 16 and over, available both in person and online via Zoom, as well as counselling for couples and families.
I also deliver Mental Health First Aid training and suicide prevention talks in workplaces, schools, colleges, and community settings – empowering individuals and groups to better understand, support, and improve mental health and wellbeing.

After a successful career in corporate marketing, I retrained as a Bowen Therapist in 2001. A devastating personal loss later led me to focus on counselling and suicide prevention—work that felt both meaningful and necessary. I went on to qualify as a counsellor and became a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
Subsequently, I became a certified Mental Health First Aid England Instructor, with accreditation from the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH). I work closely with businesses and the education sector to strengthen their mental health and wellbeing strategies. As awareness of mental health continues to grow, it’s more important than ever that workplaces provide not just physical first aid, but also robust mental health support.
Having previously worked in the charity sector, establishing a counselling service and support group, I more recently founded my own charity, Adam’s Light—dedicated to shining a light on suicide prevention in young people under 30. Through open conversations, impactful talks, and educational outreach in schools and communities, Adam’s Light aims to ensure young people feel seen, supported, and never alone.

“With my combined training, I am pleased to offer a wide range of counselling and training services, focussing particularly, but not exclusively on mental health and wellbeing, suicide prevention and bereavement”
